It all started at a corner table in a crowded bar on a Friday night in March 2020. We planned to meet up for drinks, but we ended up talking so much that the waitress had to come back three times before we finally ordered. Our dates after that mostly consisted of takeout and movie nights on the couch thanks to the pandemic, but those uninterrupted moments brought us even closer. Our first trip together was to Gatlinburg where we sampled moonshine, took a hike that almost killed us (not really, but it felt like it at the time), and fell even deeper in love. Despite the hike, we cherished that trip and looked forward to going back. That's why Trevor decided it would be the perfect place to propose! The morals of our story are... 1. Your soulmate might just be a stranger you meet on a dating app. 2. Always do your research before taking a hike in the Smoky Mountains.
